Getting there is most of the fun............
Maybe it's about time to discuss how we will be getting to Laguna Seca. I know DJ and his bride will be coming down from Washington in his truck (not sure of exact time). He will be pulling a trailer loaded with Marshall, bikes, potato chips and stuff. (He may let Marshall ride in the truck)
I will drive up late Friday morning in my truck. Gimme a break, I can't carry a bar-b-que on my bike!!! If anyone from south of Santa Maria plans to go up Friday morning and want me to haul anything in my truck, I'm just off the 101.....email me and we'll work it out. I plan to drive up 101 because my truck gets really shitty MPG.

Laguna Seca Info from Wylde Bill
Wylde Bill lives in Salinas (about 10 miles from Laguna Seca) and he reminded me that the night time temperatures at Laguna Seca can get pretty cold, even in the summer night time temps can dip into the 40's. So if you're planning to camp out, I highly recommend bringing a pretty warm sleeping bag or a pile of blankets. Also, it doesn't usually get too warm during the day. Average high temperatures for July and August are in the 70 range and sometimes are in the high 50's to low 60's depending on which way the wind is blowing. The Pacific Ocean is pretty frigid on the California coast. Layered clothing is also highly recommended.
Bill also stated that the Monterey Fuzz are pretty tough on loud pipes, so we'll want to plan our rides to avoid down town Monterey as much as possible. There are plenty of excellent roads in the area including the Mother Road of California the "Pacific Coast Highway".
